VisCom covers the substrates that carry an image rather than frame it: backlit films, block-out films and industrial coated media. What holds the range together is the coating line behind it — a high-performance system in Erlangen able to handle thin substrates, exact coating weights and materials sensitive to heat.

That combination is rare. It lets us produce films most coaters cannot, hold quality across medium and large volume orders, and develop specialty grades without leaving production scale behind.

Thin substrates for backlit film work, particularly with inkjet coatings, are one of the real strengths of our coating facility. Alongside standard films we offer Backlit Clean — 215 gsm, translucent satin, made from recycled plastic for applications that have to meet corporate responsibility requirements.

Specialty grades and project work are no problem: the system is flexible enough to develop them and strong enough to produce them at volume.

Silver Back Products

Our coating facility in Erlangen is one of the few set up to produce materials like Silver Back — a polyester film with a silver block-out layer, for inkjet advertising applications where no light passes through.

A special carrier and drying system is what makes a substrate this thin possible, and what holds quality consistent across medium and large volume orders. Long-term supply agreements available.
